Stanley the Donkey
Stanley the Donkey
When I photographed Stanley the Donkey in 2012, I had no idea this little guy’s charm, smile, and pooping on the studio floor would inspire a new collection of work. Photographing Stanley resulted from a failed negotiation with an animal trainer – I wanted to photograph a Wallaby they had, but could only afford the Donkey… And so it goes – with this fine ass, the Fairy Tale Animal series was born. Stanley lives happily in Sacramento and makes his keep by bringing smiles to those who visit.
