A registered OldenburgFinal Salute(or Nootie, his endearing barn name, also known as Michael) was imported from Germany as a 3-year-old; he was 11 at the time of this image. His winning ways earned his trainer /rider Meg Graham the World Champion Hunter Rider Mid Atlantic Emerging Professional Champion title in 2011. This beautiful horse is owned by the gracious, Nancy Granger.
The photo shoot occurred in 2014 at the Stanford Red Barn in Stanford, CA. With this photograph, I was honorably deemed 'Artist of the Year' for the Menlo Charity Horse Show (MCHS). Plus, I was the first photographer to receive that accolade in the 41 years of that event. I bow my head in humble gratitude for being chosen. We collectively named the image 'Ready When You Are' since it was the themed photograph for the charity horse show event that year.
