Final Salute - 'Ready When You Are'

A registered Oldenburg, Final Salute (or Nootie, his endearing barn name, also known as Michael) was imported from Germany as a 3 year old, he's 11 at the time of this image. His winning ways earned his trainer /rider Meg Graham the World Champion Hunter Rider Mid Atlantic Emerging Professional Champion title in 2011. This beautiful horse is owned by the gracious, Nancy Granger.

The photoshoot took place in 2014 at the Stanford Red Barn in Stanford Ca. And it was with this photograph that I was honorably deemed 'artist of the year' for the Menlo Charity Horse Show (MCHS). Plus, I was the first ever photographer to be receive that accolade in the 41 years of that event. I bow my head in humble gratitude for being chosen. We collectively decided to name the image 'Ready When You Are' since it was the themed photograph for the charity horse show event hat year.
