Doenut the baby Fawn No. 2

Many have wondered if this deer is the product of outstanding taxidermy work, but I can assure you: Doenut the Fawn is quite real! I found her through an animal trainer in LA and photographed her here in my studio in San Francisco. Getting Doenut to stay still and pose in such a majestic manner was no small feat. But, as she loved being bottle fed, we devised a plan to have the trainer hold the bottle on one side of the studio as their assistant held onto Doenut on the other. When I was ready, Doenut was gently released and you can almost see that glint in her eye as she seeks out her beloved bottle.
